Summer 2006 Specialty

	We approached this year's Chicagoland Samoyed Club Summer Specialty Show held at the fairgrounds in Grayslake, Illinois on June 16, 2006 with a certain amount of foreboding: the weatherman had predicted hot weather for the day and if there's one thing Samoyeds don't much care for it's the hot, sticky weather we sometimes have here in Chicago. Fortunately, dogs don't pay much attention to weather reports so they weren't concerned and the breeze that persisted throughout the morning keep things cool enough to be comfortable for Samoyeds and handlers alike.
		This is our twenty-third annual summer specialty show. Our entry this year represented the best Samoyeds from Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Ontario and Saskatchewan, Canada. A four point major was awarded in dogs; a five point major was awarded in bitches.
	Breeder-owner-handlers were well represented in the ribbons with Best of Opposite Sex to Best in Sweepstakes, Winners Dog, and Best in Specialty Show all going to breeder-owner-handlers.
